The former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Chris Krebs, has announced that China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia are all attempting to steal intellectual property (IP) surrounding the vaccine for the coronavirus. This statement comes after all four countries tried to spy on vaccine distributors. Krebs added that all parts of supply chain for the vaccine are at risk of being compromised as well, not just the developers. A phishing attack was already carried out on the storage portion of the vaccine supply chain, which stores the vaccines at extremely low temperatures. CISA is looking into evidence that data may have been compromised due to this attack.
