As Joe Biden begins his administration, he has prioritized cybersecurity and IT modernization after recent cyberattack against the federal government. In addition to the economy and the pandemic, cybersecurity has been another major crisis the U.S faced this year. Biden’s plan allocates $9 billion to the Technology Modernization Fund (TMF), which will provide cybersecurity services to different government departments in the federal government. The budget also provides $200 million to hire federal cybersecurity experts and almost a billion dollars more for other technology agencies. After the inauguration today, there will be announcements for who has been appointed to carry out these plans.
