This has led to a 768% increase in Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) attacks within the past year as hackers have found ways to quietly access company networks. Common ways hackers access these networks are through phishing or stealing login credentials. This tactic allows cyber criminals to infiltrate networks sometimes undetected and steal sensitive company data. Experts suggest using very strong passwords that are difficult to guess and implementing two-factor authentication into the login process. Lastly, employing a strong patching strategy can add an extra layer of security to the network.
